Is Any Fishing Gear Provided?

No, please bring your own rods, reels, tackle, and bait.

Where Can We Buy Live Bait?

Bass Capital Tackle is a new small business (bait and tackle shop) in Interlachen only two miles from Camp Declan. Ace Hardware also sells live bait as well as tackle.

Are the Canoes and Kayaks Available Free of Charge?

Yes. Life vests are stored in the pontoon boat and/or green dock box.

Are Sheets, Pillows, and Blankets Included?

Yes, for up to 18 guests.

Towels?

We have some towels but please bring your own, too.

We Want to Grill Out, Do You Have a Grill?

Yes, our grill is charcoal.

How Far is the Closest Grocery Store?

Hitchcock’s Grocery, Dollar General, and CVS are two miles away.

Are Pets Allowed?

Yes, if well behaved.

We Are Concerned About Swimming Due to Alligators. Can You Convince Us It is Safe to Jump in the Water?

In 15 years, we have only seen one alligator in the lake. Also, our two dogs are allowed to swim freely in the lake. Have no fear. It is an excellent swimming, fishing, and boating lake. My entire family swims in the lake regularly.
